5g huawei
Huawei began work on fifth-generation communication technologies back in 2009 and today is a leader in this area. Huawei is the only equipment supplier offering solutions for all stages of 5G network deployment: from planning and construction to maintenance. The company’s portfolio includes 5G CPE commercial terminals, 5G mobile wireless routers and smartphones: Mate 20 X 5G and Mate X.

The foundation for Huawei’s future 5G client infrastructure is the innovative Balong 5000 chip for wireless routers. The chip supports simultaneous operation in 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G modes and is compatible with SA and NSA networks. This is the world’s first 5G chipset, created by the 7 nm process technology. It allows you to achieve download speeds of up to 4.6 Gbit / s in the Sub-6 GHz band and 6.5 Gbit / s in the millimetre range.
The Balong 5000 chipset also supports the V2X communication standard, which allows self-driving cars to see and hear other road users.

The company cooperates with more than 50 operators in the framework of commercial testing of the technology and has already delivered more than 150 thousand 5G base stations. One of the first contracts for the supply of 5G equipment was concluded by providers from 10 countries, including Sweden, the UK, Spain, Italy, Finland, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Korea and China.
Huawei’s Contribution to 5G: The company received a number of 5G innovation awards, including the Global Telecoms Awards (GLOTEL) in the Breakthrough of the Year in Network Software and Breakthrough of the Year in Network Software categories at MWC 2018.
According to the forecast of GSMA, the first commercial network of a new generation in Russia will be launched in 2020. The country will become a leader in the implementation of 5G technologies in the CIS region. In accordance with the Digital Economy program, by 2024, 5G networks should be deployed in all cities with a population of 300,000 or more.

Huawei’s partners in deploying 5G networks in Russia are MTS, Megafon, Beeline and Tele 2. Pilot projects have already been launched in Kazan, as part of the World Cup, and in St. Petersburg during the International Economic Forum.
The introduction of ultra-wideband access technologies will open up new opportunities for many industries and markets, including industrial production, computer games, autonomous transport, intelligent urban management systems, smart home systems, the Internet of things, medicine, education, agriculture and many others.
With 5G video, 1 GB can be downloaded in just 3 seconds!
The new generation networks will allow to deploy an unmanned transport system, regulate traffic on the streets and organize quick delivery of orders from online stores. Another important industry – telemedicine – is already actively developing in China due to 5G. It involves the use of computer and telecommunication technologies for medical diagnostics and operations – including remote ones when the doctor and patient are several thousand kilometres away from each other.
Today, 5G has almost no effect on our lives – all developments in Russia are not yet accessible to ordinary users and seem to be something far from reality. But this is definitely an interesting technology that can change the world of IT and telecom in the next five years. The first devices with 5G support have already begun to appear – it is especially convenient that new smartphones can also work in 3G and 4G networks. It is possible that soon all flagships will somehow be equipped with 5G modules, and when the network is finally deployed in Russia, smartphone manufacturers will be ready for this.
