Honor will receive an update to Android Q
Honour smartphones will receive updates to Android Q! This information can be safely considered official, but there are a couple of nuances that cannot be ignored. So what is required from the current or future owner of a Chinese smartphone in order to receive the update? Answer
Recently, the British unit of Honor posted an interesting post on Twitter regarding the warranty, service and subsequent updates of smartphones released under this Chinese brand.
The record says that users who have already bought Honor smartphones or will buy them soon will receive all the necessary software updates. In addition, they will be able to receive security patches and will have full warranty support.
On the one hand, this sounds logical, and we have heard about it more than once, but another message may seem interesting against the background of the current war between the US government and Huawei, which owns the Honor brand.
According to the record left by the British Honor, the brand’s new products introduced a couple of months ago, namely, all three models of the Honor 20 family, will receive an update to Android Q.

Perhaps, if trade misunderstandings continue, the future smartphones of the Honor 20 series will no longer receive the corresponding operating system. Even so, everyone who has time to buy them up to this point will continue to receive important updates.
For smartphones released after this period, Huawei may prepare its own operating system, which many have been talking about lately. Given the capabilities and aspirations of the company, this would be the most logical step that will allow them not to depend on anyone and upgrade their smartphones as they see fit.
